Derby Cathedral comes to sing

We were very pleased to hear Derby Cathedral choir sing in Great St Mary’s recently at the start of their Cambridge tour. Singing at one of our lunchtime concerts, the choir wowed the audience with a selection of beautifully sung sacred pieces.

Expressing gratitude for being allowed to appear, a representative of the choir said that it will be many years before its younger members fully recognise the reality of what they have achieved on tour.

The choir went on to sing at Cambridge colleges after this.

Lunchtime concerts at Great St Mary’s are a good way to experience genuine feedback from an audience and promote your choir into the bargain. Aimed at the office worker and casual visitor they generally take place on Tuesdays at 1.05pm, and entry is free (although we do give opportunity to donate if you wish). People are free to come and go as they please during the hour, and many visiting choirs have discovered to their delight how knowledgeable and appreciative the Cambridge audience is.

If you are around, make a point of stopping by.
