EASTER SUNDAY

There are services on Sundays and during the week.  These take place at Great St Mary’s and at Michaelhouse.  For further details of services at Michaelhouse and the chaplaincy, please see the areas on this website.

Private Prayer

Both Great St Mary’s and Michaelhouse have chapels set aside for private prayer. The Blessed Sacrament is reserved at GSM in the St. Andrew’s Chapel.


Regular Sunday Services at Great St Mary’s

8.00 a.m. Holy Communion, a traditional style of service using the Book of Common Prayer.

9.30 a.m. Parish Communion, a sung service with sermon.  During this service a range of children’s groups meet in the rooms at the west end of the church. Please talk to a member of our sidesmen and welcoming team who will give you directions to these activities.

11.15 a.m. Choral Mattins, with sermon.  The University Sermon takes place on two Sundays each term, and these are advertised.

6.30 p.m. Evening Worship. This is usually Choral Evensong with a sermon and takes place at  GSM on the first and third Sundays and at Michaelhouse on the second and fourth Sundays.

Tuesday

8.00 a.m. Holy Communion at GSM – St. Andrew’s Chapel.

10.30 a.m. The Ark, an informal service of Holy Communion at Michaelhouse – Chancel.

 

Wednesday

9.00 a.m. Morning Prayer at Merton Hall Farmhouse

 

Thursday

9.00 a.m. Morning Prayer at GSM – St. Andrew’s Chapel.

1.05 p.m. Holy Communion with discussion at Michaelhouse – Chancel.

9.00 p.m. Taize Night Prayer (in term time only). Sung chant and meditation, at GSM – St. Andrew’s Chapel.

 

Friday

9.00 a.m. Morning Prayer at Michaelhouse – Harvey de Stanton Chapel.


Saturday 

9.00 a.m. Holy Communion at Michaelhouse (on the third Saturday of each month)
