Michaelhouse is committed to protecting your privacy. The information that we collect is only used to provide the services you have requested. This privacy policy covers the treatment of personal data that Michaelhouse might collect when you e-mail us, or when you complete and submit an online form on our website.

When completing forms, you may be asked for personal information such as name, address, telephone number, etc. It is only when you supply this type of information that you can be personally identified.

Information may legitimately be collected to fulfil your request for information or services.

Michaelhouse holds and processes personal data in accordance with all current legislation relating to data protection. We will not sell or rent your personal data to anyone or use the data for any other purpose than that for which it was originally collected.

We collect data from those people who have asked:

  • for information or to make a booking
  • to receive our monthly e-mail newsletter or be invited to Michaelhouse events
  • to become a Friend or Member of Michaelhouse
  • to apply for a job

We only use that information to facilitate your booking, send you the newsletter or invitations which you have requested, manage your subscription or membership as appropriate, or process your job application.

We do not share your data with anyone. The only exception is if you make a booking which involves the catering services of the Michaelhouse Café. In that case we will pass your data to them so that they can contact you to arrange your food and drink order and to send you an invoice.

We offer free WiFi to our customers and visitors. We do not collect any data from you if you use our WiFi service.

Our website uses Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website We do not collect cookies on our website.
