We welcome the Lady Mair, Deputy Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire; Sir David Arculua, High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire; Dame Fiona Reynolds, DBE, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University; Councillor Marie Louise Holland, Deputy Mayor of Cambridge, as well as representatives of the armed forces, the police force, the University, the City of Cambridge and many other organisations.  The choir of Great St Mary’s is conducted and the organ played by the Director of Music, Samuel Hayes and the trumpeter is John Parry.

The Lady Mair? I suppose it is better than The Lady Mare, but it is not entirely unreasonable to expect that the University Church might have someone who could spell.

Thank you for your interest in Great St Mary’s.

Mair is her name not her title: Lady Mair, and she is Deputy Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire
